HDC Pressure Valves: A Cost-Effective Alternative to Rexroth, Yuken, Parker & Eaton Vickers

Pressure valves are the workhorses of any hydraulic circuit — relief, reducing, sequence, unloading, and balanced-piston valves that protect your system and control how it behaves under load. They're also some of the most commonly replaced valves on the shop floor, which means they're where legacy-brand pricing hurts the most.

Hydrodynamics stocks the full HDC pressure valve range, built to the same industry-standard mounting and function classes as Rexroth, Yuken, Parker, and Eaton Vickers pressure valves — at a significantly lower landed cost, with local stock availability.

Below is our working cross-reference. If your drawing, spares list, or old valve nameplate shows any of these legacy references, there's a good chance an HDC equivalent already sits on our shelf.

Modular valves are strongly standardised on Rexroth's stacking pattern; Yuken, Parker, and Eaton Vickers equivalents exist but are a looser functional match at this size — confirm your stack bolt pattern before ordering.

Sequence & unloading valves

Multistage & cartridge pilot relief valves

Rexroth

Cartridge pilot pressure relief valve

DB...K...XJ

DBDS / DB..K

2/3-stage electro-hydraulic pilot relief

DB2U...5XJ / DB3U...5XJ

DB2U / DB3U

These are a weaker cross-brand match — Yuken, Parker, and Eaton Vickers don't carry a close direct equivalent at cartridge/multistage level, so Rexroth is the primary reference point here.

Explosion-proof (Ex-rated) pressure valves

For hazardous-area installations, HDC's G-prefixed pressure valves mirror the standard range's function in an explosion-proof housing:

Function

HDC Code

G-DB2U / G-DB3U

Ex-proof solenoid pilot relief

G-DBW...5XJ

G-DBW

Ex-proof pilot operated unloading relief

G-DAW...5XJ

G-DAW

A note on how to read this table

Not every valve on this list is a like-for-like swap. Where we've matched an HDC valve to a Rexroth, Yuken, Parker, or Eaton Vickers family, it means they serve the same function in the same general size class — not that they share an internal design or are guaranteed interchangeable without checking. Some functions (cartridge relief, multistage pilot relief, 3-way reducing/sequence) simply aren't standardised in the same way across every brand, so the closest match may only be "close" in what it does, not how it mounts.

Before you order a pressure valve to replace an existing legacy-brand unit, send us:

  • The pressure setting/range you need

  • Cavity or manifold mounting pattern

  • Direct-acting vs. pilot-operated, and any modular stack requirement

  • Coil voltage (for solenoid pilot-relief and unloading valves)

We'll confirm the right HDC configuration before you commit to an order.

Why source your pressure valves from Hydrodynamics

  • Local stock on the standard relief, reducing, sequence, and modular pressure valve ranges — no long OEM lead times for routine replacements.

  • Lower landed cost than Rexroth, Yuken, Parker, or Eaton Vickers equivalents, at industrial duty specification.

  • Configuration checked before dispatch — send your nameplate photo or drawing and we'll verify fit.
